I don't remember ever seeing anything about this. I don't know much about the mobs though.
Lol I know a lot about them but not everything. Always willing to learn more.
I was VERY naive about them at one time in my life, mobs....hitmen...etc. I met my ex fiance - Brittany's dad - when I was 18 + even tho i was 18 I didn't have a lot of real life experiences/ public school experiences and no internet yet. Almost my entire pre teens and teen years as a minor was in group homes, residential schools and shit like that. There was only a brief time I got to go live hinge and go to a real school. When I aged out the system I was completely on my own in a city I wasn't from and ended up pregnant and I felt so lost. I didn't know where anything was to get any assistance. I didn't know my way around and wanted my mom. Bad, I know. I moved back to my hometown and got an apt above her and was babysitting for another teen girl who had a baby. Her boyfriend was a fisherman and he'd come in from a trip like a celebrity. Fisherman were kinda celebrities. They had a TON of money that they threw around and just blew in just a few days cuz then they'd just go back out for a cpl weeks again. Rinse and repeat. I babysat for her whet he'd come in from a trip and take her out. Long story short - I'm NOT the type to take another girls man. I don't like that and think its trashy. I won't even look at a guy thats involved but he fascinated me. He "LIED". LOL. He had me convinced that he wasn't really a fisherman but a hit man for the mob and that when he was on a "fishing trip" he was really out doing a hit. We'd go to restaurants and he'd always need to sit in a corner that looked out in every direction but his back to a wall. He told me stories about how you need to pay attention to details, how to read people, to watch things, use reflections when you can see directly...I was just so fascinated. And gullible. He had this little amigo jeep - cyan. It had no back seat and he always had a buddy w him so I always had to sit on that stupid hard console in the middle. But for some reason it was always locked and he never opened it. TOLD ME that's where he kept his gun. It was actually locked and he lost the key. Lol. Anyway ... the extent of what I knew was just the fake stories he told me but I am Sicilian/ Italian and The Mob is mostly Italian so i look at it like "my roots" and just always wanna know more.
Was just watching a video the other day about whare it was like when Gotti went into jail. Lol. NOW... if you've ever done time, it honestly is like a family reunion when you "go back". Its extremely hard and really sucks your 1st time especially if u don't know anybody. Hearing those steel doors close knowing you ain't getting back out for a while if when it really hits you. No matter how tough you are, if you're in a cell alone... like before you've been actually intaked and brought to the main population, it is the most loneliest feeling you'll ever feel and you will prob cry. You'll replay every movie you ever watched about prison, scared. BUT...it ain't really like that. And it isn't long before you do run into people you know. But - after you've actually done time, gotten out and then go back - it's really sad but 1. It's a RELIEF if you're running hard and loving a rough life. Your actually are grateful cuz til finally eat and sleep but the sad part (2.) You're like a celebrity. And everyone inside knows you now cuz some people ever even left, never will. And that's just being a regular nobody so when I watched that video about when gotti went in - it was how EVERYBODY that could see him or was even in ear shot of him, ppl were saying, "anything you need I got you, anything that's mine is yours". It AINT like that if u don't know anybody. Its the opposite of your a punk- what's yours is EVERYBODY else's. But truth is, you have to really make your shit last in there cuz you cant go to a store. You can't make actually money. Your only means of having anything is someone on the outside putting money in WEEKLY and on time for you to place an order of what's there... which a cup of coffee is like gold. It's not like you can hoard-order so you basically get JUST enough to last week to week so you cage really just make anybody a cup of coffee that asks since that might leave YOU without a cup before the next order gets brought to the unit. And a LOT of ppl DONT have. They don't have people to give them money in there. A lot of people are just written off. Forgotten. And everybody is a criminal so they can try and steal ur shit (depending who u are....or know), play you by being nice that prob wld never have spoke to you outside (maybe dealt on the outside but has nothing inside since they thought they had it like that and carried themselves that way out there so everybody's like just ..eff you.. now) or play u.. PLAY YOU, actually pretend to care and actually carry a relationship for the duration of the bid just to be "taken care of".
And that's the people that actually have anything. You're either indigent and have nothing or your have ro rely on somebody outside to have something. Even if it's your own money. At the time I was doing time, we didn't have that access to banks or anything. Idk how it is now w so much able to be done digitally.
And NO MATTER WHAT - if you don't know somebody INSIDE, it don't matter who or what you got on the outside, there's that initial first week and a half until you can get money put in, then that ONE reserved day a week the store orders/canteen can be placed and that ONE reserved day it gets filled and brought that you've gotta wait. You have NOTHING. You gotta walk barefoot into those showers until you've ordered those flip flops. You gotta use that boring indigent state soap and toothpaste MINIS. You've got NO coffee, creamer, sugar, no goodies so you only eat at those exact meal times and you eat what they served or you starve. Don't like dinner? That's at 4 pm. Don't have your stuff yet. You're gone starve until 7 am breakfast. You WILL be hungry. And EVERYBODY is making those Ramen soups and coffee and you SMELL it. Your stomach will rumble. Lol - It's rough.
As far as Trump goes though...i never saw anything on it either and I'm not far from New York. People from our states over here often go back and forth. But it's just kinda a given that the mob ran everything there which happened to be trumps business dealings so it's not that far fetched to know he's had to have something to do w them in some way. I just personally never really gave it any thought. Before he was president- I didn't really care one way or the other about him or his life. Didn't like him much PERSONALLY cuz how he spoke about women but didn't really care either. Never odor him much mind. Until he ran for president. But still, honestly, don't really care. I could care less of he's involved w the mob or not but I figured it's something a lot did question.
So...yea, when I watched that video, I totally pictured gotta walking thru there in person.
Wow. This was long. Sorry. 🫠
