When you're on the phone scrolling whatever ur scrolling, then go to the bathroom, end up long done on the toilet but not done scrolling to the point when you get up from the toilet, your bum, legs and feet have gone numb. Even falling.

I am at the point now I walk around with THREE phones and THREE portable chargers. I really think it's time to go off the grid. Wifi detox.

It is pretty bad how everyone spend so much time with their phones and other electronic devices. When the Internet goes out, I'm like "now WTF am I gonna do?" lol. It's bad.

It's so bad that I don't have emergency food or anything a normal person would have in case of disaster, I even checked my flashlight the other day to see if batteries were in it and of course there isn't. And I did buy a 24 pack of c batteries but it's for my cats toy so I'm not wasting it in the flashlight. THE POINT is that I WON'T be offline despite not caring if I eat or see.
Well... actually, truth be told... I'm not so worried about the lights thing cuz I do have a ton of DIY things I've made that have battery operated lights attached and just a TON of lights that don't require electricity. The one thing I AM totally prepared for though is - INTERNET ... AND ... DEVICES. My wifi works without needing to be plugged in. It charges w a typical TYPE C USB. I have several phones, laptops and computers and 4 portable charges, 3 I carry on me when out. I'll be able to stay online for a cpl days without electricity.

We have a heavy winds warning today so it's possible power will go out.

To get offline entirely, I need to go where there's no wifi towers.

It is still possible to not have internet when power goes down. That's happened here before and I can totally relate to that WTF am I gonna do. My laptop had some stupid games you could play on it w/o internet so I did that...solitaire lol... until that died and the chargers all died. It was SO bad...I had no electricity, no internet, no hot water. It got to a point ... SO BAD that I was in my chair wrapped in like 3 blankets w my dead laptop on my lap as a table and was playing w a match card game I'd gotten in a happy meal. I had slept already as much as I could so I really needed something to do.

I think that's something we should all do - think of really creative things we can do for fun that don't require power or internet. Besides sex. Lol

I can't believe HOW BORED I was and how extremely quiet it was w no TV or music.

But this of why I need to go off the grid. Like ...The Outsiders. People lived perfectly fine for 1000s of years w no power or internet.

I have a little bit. Mainly soups I don't want to eat lol. You should have some. I think even the screwed up Government says to have some food for emergencies. I usually go to the store every few days, I don't buy enough at a time.

A while back I bought a hand-crank/solar flash light with radio that can (supposedly) charge cell phones:

Definitely need offline games. Although, now that I think about it I should download some that require little power or my laptop battery will drain out within a few hours. I didn't think of that.

Good idea. I think almost everything in my devices require internet.
Wow... crazy u mentioned that flashlight - I actually forgot I wrote anything about a flashlight and about 2 days ago I bought 2 of the coolest ones. They're by Life Gear - they don't need batteries. They're LED but not just the regular white light .. there's 5 nodes that include red flashers. I got one called glow stick flashlight... very thin and can hang on you... the other is normal sized but the handle... it's clear, it's the part that has the 5 red modes, it's also a compartment you can put something in, it floats in water it auto turns on in water. I HAD to get these cuz I been watching a lot of disaster, survival movies and ppl being lost at sea ....I started a series called ice road truckers where they have to cross a FROZEN LAKE as a "road" w very heavy equipment before it melts and ppl do die and I just wasted a part last night Webster a guy was talking about how he goes down to retrieve bodies - one guy he had to get had fallen thru the Ice and couldn't find the hole to get back out... when he was found, he was only 300 ft from the hole. In my mind I was thinking how this flashlight can make a lot of difference. Imagine floating in the middle of the ocean (i also watched found footage of brothers that held in as long as they could bit the last brother to die... he just couldn't stay above water any longer. Boats went by. Jets. Nobody could see them cuz in the water...At night... if you're not being looked for.. your a needle in a haystack- invisible. That floating flashlight that auto ons...would def draw attention. I was thinking too how u can put pen and paper in the handle so if you're about to die... you can leave a note. Or... if you know you're lagitude/longitude - put that and send it off w the words help. You also could just let it go when you're going down and if it don't float too far it'd give ppl an idea where you went down. And the amazing thing is these flashlights were both under $10. I'll record them real quick when I get home. Stupidly didn't bring it out w me...lot of good it'll do new out here if it's at home lol

I used to watch that. I saw something not long ago about it potentially coming back.

Edit: Thought I saw something recently. May have been a YouTube video. I don't see anything related to it coming back when I search news.
I should have read this 1st before what i just posted in TV/ movies. It is on but idk about new ones. They're new to me though.

Here's the flashlights. Theyre actually really cool. I forgot to mention that the glow stick one has a whistle on the other end which was what really made me buy it.

I also had a TON of old phones from over the past 13 years that were literally collecting dust. I decided to wash them all down and charge them all. 9 work. Well, charged. I'm going to check and see if they all work and if so, that'll be a good backup stash when the power goes out. The ones that don't, I'll finally just toss in the trash. I found the one I was using during covid. SO MANY pictures and videos. I think I was obsessed w Snapchat at the time lol. I can't even remember when I was on snap last ...or even took a selfie.
